About the Artist Melanie Kaufman is a New Orleans native and Louisiana Licensed Alternative Hair Designer. With over 20 years of experience as a loctician, braider, and natural hair stylist, she offers her clients harmless, well-crafted hair design experiences rooted in technique, artistry, and respect for texture. SALON POLICIES Rescheduling Clients may reschedule up to 24 hours in advance to avoid additional fees or loss of the client–stylist relationship. Deposits transfer once. Rescheduling a second time will require a new deposit. ⸻ Non-Refundable Deposit A 30% deposit is required upon booking and is non-refundable under any circumstance. Final payments are accepted via PayPal, Zelle, or Card — please arrive with your payment method ready. ⸻ Please Be On Time All clients have a 10-minute grace period. A $20 late fee applies after 15 minutes. Clients arriving more than 29 minutes late or failing to communicate tardiness will have their appointment canceled and charged 50% of the service. Your cooperation allows us to continue offering an intentional, high-quality experience for every guest who enters our space.

Cancellation Policy

Clients may reschedule up to 24 hours in advance to avoid fees. A 30% non-refundable deposit is required to book and may transfer once. Late arrivals beyond 15 minutes incur a $20 fee; after 29 minutes, the appointment will be canceled and charged 65% of the service.
